Our chemistry department at Al-Hussan Secondary School -international section in Dammam had an engaging and interactive lab session with our brilliant Grade 11 students.
During this experiment, "Modeling Molecules with Balls and Sticks," students stepped beyond the textbook to visualize 3D molecular geometry and chemical bonding. Using colored models and sticks, they represent different atoms and constructed various covalent bonds—from single to triple bonds. They successfully built and analyzed key molecular structures, investigating bond angles, shapes, and polarity for molecules like: Carbon dioxide, Boron trifluoride, Methane, Ammonia and Water.
