Attendance, Punctuality & Absences
Excused Absences
Illness (a medical note may be required for absences of three days or more)
Family emergencies
School-approved competitions or events
Unexcused Absences
Absences without a valid reason or official documentation are classified as
unexcused. Such absences may impact a student’s grades, participation marks, and
eligibility for extracurricular activities, school trips, or leadership roles. All attendance
and disciplinary regulations of the Ministry of Education apply.
All Ministry Of Education rules of attendance and discipline apply
Excessive Absence
Students missing 10% or more of school days may be placed on probation, required to
attend academic support sessions, or risk non-promotion. Parents are contacted to
develop a plan for improvement.
Punctuality
Students are expected to arrive on time each day. Repeated lateness disrupts learning
and may result in disciplinary action or affect conduct grades.
Early Dismissal
Requests for early dismissal must be made in writing to the school office. Students
may only leave with parents or authorized guardians listed on school records.
